New Student Orientation (NSO) is a mandatory enrollment requirement for all newly admitted Spring 2027 undergraduate students. Orientation is designed to prepare students for a successful transition to CSUDH by introducing them to campus resources, academic expectations, and the enrollment process.
The Spring 2027 Orientation Program is an ONLINE program held virtually via Zoom. Students will connect with their academic advisor, receive academic advising, and register for Spring 2027 course. Dates and times are coordinated by the academic college and sessions generally last 2-3 hours. Students will meet with their academic advisor, receive academic advising, and register for Spring 2027 courses.
The Orientation program is committed to ensuring that the incoming class of students will receive an onboarding experience that prepares them for their first term as new Toro or returning Toro. To be successful in any college setting, we highly recommend attending a Pre-Orientation date to understand not only the academics, but the resources, support, and involvement opportunities CSUDH has to offer. Pre-Orientation dates are held virtually via Zoom from 9am-12pm throughout the months of November, December, and January.
Before registering for Orientation, you must submit the intent to enroll and pay the non-refundable $125 intent to enroll deposit to be eligible to register for Orientation.
To register for Orientation, log into your my.CSUDH.edu account. Make sure you are on the Applicant icon under the User Experience section located near the top left of the page. From the Applicants page, click on the Admissions tab, then click on NSO Registration Status.
You will be prompted to select an NSO date and submit the non-refundable $99 NSO fee. To secure your Orientation date, payment must be submitted in full within 2 hours of selecting an NSO date.
Orientation registration closes on December 1, 2026; we highly encourage you to register before the deadline.
