GIVEFunding for Healthcare Training Programs
Through a partnership with the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB), the College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) at CSUDH offers grant-funded training for select allied health programs. Eligible individuals may qualify for funding through the Health-Flex High Road Training Partnership (HF-HRTP) and Advancing Careers Equitably (ACE) workforce grants.
Allied health educational programs prepare professionals and leaders for competent practice across a variety of healthcare settings. These programs support individuals interested in entering high-demand healthcare careers with strong long-term employment potential. What is an allied healthcare professional?
Allied health refers to a diverse group of healthcare professionals who are not physicians or nurses but play a vital role in the delivery of health and related services. These professionals are involved in the identification, evaluation, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders, as well as in areas such as dietary and nutrition services, rehabilitation, and health systems management.听

Eligible Training Programs听
Funding may be available for the following CSUDH programs:听
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)听Training听鈥� On Campus听
- Orthotic Fitter Pre-Certification Certificate听鈥� Hybrid听
- Medical Insurance Billing Certificate听鈥� Live Online
How Funding Works
Training programs are delivered by 糖心logo入口 (CSUDH).
Funding is administered by the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB).
All eligibility determinations, application reviews, and funding decisions are made solely by the SBWIB based on program criteria and available funds. Funding is limited and not guaranteed. Participation in a CSUDH program does not guarantee funding.
What Funding Includes
Eligible participants may receive support with the following:
- Tuition and required program fees
- Required books and training materials
- Certification-related costs (if applicable)
- A program completion stipend
- Career coaching and job placement听assistance
- Supportive or wraparound services

Get Started
Required First Step: Attend an Information Session
To be considered for funding, all interested applicants must attend a听Virtual Information Session hosted by SBWIB.
Sessions are held every Tuesday at 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
You will be directed to the SBWIB website to complete information session registration.
During the session, SBWIB staff will review:
- Funding eligibility requirements听
- Required documentation听
- The application and approval process听
Next Steps
After the session, SBWIB staff will work directly with eligible participants to determine funding approval and coordinate registration with CSUDH. (Admission to CSUDH is not required; however, select programs may have an application process.)听
