Scholarships
CSUDH offers a wide array of scholarships for all students. All scholarships require a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher and enrollment criteria may vary by each scholarship.
Presidential Scholarship
Covers full in-state tuition and fees, provides an annual book allowance, parking permit, annual on-campus housing stipend, and access to undergraduate research opportunities.
Katherine Bogdanovich Loker Scholarship
Awards $4,000 to a student residing in one of the following cities: Carson, Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Torrance, or Wilmington, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Vic and Curly Scholarship
Awarded to First-Year, First-Time students who demonstrate financial need.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
糖心logo入口 is a participating member of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), a tuition savings program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education ().
Through WUE, students in western states and three U.S. insular areas may enroll in many two-year and four-year undergraduate college programs at a reduced tuition rate (150% of the institution's regular resident tuition, and nearly 50% less than the full nonresident tuition rate).

Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Republic of Palau, and American Samoa.
WUE Admissions Requirements
New first-year or transfer students interested in being considered for WUE must meet all CSU admissions and enrollment requirements as an incoming first-year or transfer student in addition to the WUE Eligibility criteria below.

First-Time Freshman WUE Eligibility Criteria
- Have or will have graduated from high school within a WUE state or U.S. insular area
- Meet the minimum (GPA) requirement of 2.50 or higher in 10th through 12th grade A-G courses
- Have or will have completed the 15-unit comprehensive A-G pattern with a grade of C or better by high school graduation
Upper Division Transfer WUE Eligibility Criteria
- Have completed 60 or more transferable semester units (90 quarter units)
- Have a 2.50 or better transferable GPA (coursework attempted and completed at all institutions attended
- Be in good standing at the last institution attended
- Have completed or plan to complete prior to transfer at least 30 semester units (45 quarter units) of courses equivalent to general education requirements with a grade of C- or better, including courses in written communication, oral communication, critical thinking, and mathematics/quantitative reasoning
Majors Eligible
The WUE program is available to all undergraduate programs except Nursing, Organizational Leadership Studies, and Quality Assurance. Students interested in these specific majors are not eligible for WUE.
WUE cannot be applied to current CSUDH students, graduate students and post-baccalaureate students.
Maintaining WUE Status
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, 12 units or more each semester (Fall & Spring)
- Maintain a minimum CSUDH and cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 or better and be in Good Academic Standing. Your cumulative GPA includes transferred coursework as calculated by CSUDH.
- Students may receive WUE tuition for four academic years for first-time freshman students and up to two academic years for transfer students.
- If you wish to change your residency, you will have to stop participating in the WUE program for a minimum of one year and meet the requirements for reclassification as a CA resident.
- WUE students are not eligible for California resident tuition. Students cannot apply time accrued while participating in the WUE program to establish California residency. Students may receive the WUE tuition rate for 4 years.
Take these steps to apply to participate in the WUE program:
- Apply for admission to CSUDH via
- Download and complete the WUE Contract Form聽once you have received your admissions acceptance email notification, which will contain your student ID, residency status, and major.
- Submit your WUE Contract to our . The WUE contract must be signed and submitted prior to enrolling in your first term which will occur at New Student Orientation.
- After the WUE request form is received, an email will be sent to you from admissions@csudh.edu confirming receipt of the submission.
- Newly admitted students must submit the Intent to Enroll, register for New Student Orientation, attend the New Student Orientation, and submit all items on the to-do list by the posted document deadline.
- After your admission has been finalized with your final official transcript(s) and you have registered for your first term, the Office of Admissions will fully process your WUE form and notify you by email.

Is WUE a scholarship?
WUE is commonly referred to as a 鈥渢uition savings program鈥� or 鈥渞educed tuition program鈥� and is not considered a scholarship.
Do I automatically get WUE if I鈥檓 from a participating state?
CSUDH requires students to request WUE participation before enrolling in their first term and to meet all eligibility and continuing requirements.

Can I qualify for California resident tuition later?
WUE students are not eligible for California resident tuition while participating, and time accrued in WUE cannot be applied toward establishing residency for tuition purposes.
Can I receive the WUE benefit and later become a California resident for tuition purposes?
No, initial WUE awards and continued eligibility are based upon residence in a WUE member state other than California. You must maintain a full-time status of 12 units or more while enrolled at CSUDH each term (except Summer). You must remain in good academic standing, achieving at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA while in the WUE program. If you wish to change your residency, you will have to stop participating in the WUE program for a minimum of one year and one day and meet the requirements for residency reclassification.
How long can I receive the WUE tuition rate?
WUE tuition remains for up to four academic years for first-time freshman students and upt to two academic years for transfer students.
Do I need to reapply for the WUE each year?
WUE tuition rates remain in effect for up to four academic years for first-time freshman students and up to two academic years for transfer students. You do not need to reapply for each year you attend CSUDH. However, if you leave the university (and do not complete a planned educational leave form), you will need to reapply to the program when you reapply to the university.
