We are pleased to announce that a new Affordable Housing Residence Hall and Dining Commons opened Fall 2026.
The Affordable Housing Residence Hall is the result of a state-funded initiative to support low-income students. This new four-story building adds 288 new beds to campus. Of these, 238 beds are offered at a reduced cost to qualified low-income applicants. To learn more about Affordable Housing and if you may qualify, please refer to our CSUDH Affordable Housing - Student FAQs.
The Dining Commons is a one-story building located west of the new residence hall and acts as a bridge between the campus and the residential community. It includes approximately 315 indoor seats and 50 outdoor and features a variety of food options. Please go to the site to learn about meal plan options. Effective Fall 2026, all students living in the residence halls are REQUIRED to have a meal plan.听
