Online Course Instruction

The program is taught asynchronously online: no campus attendance is required, and there are no set days and times for classes online (unless noted on the course schedule).

Students will receive instructions as to how to establish their campus login credentials approximately 2–3 days after registering for a course. These credentials will enable students to login to CSUDH's Canvas learning management system via the MyCSUDH student portal.If you did not receive login information shortly after having registered, please contact the CCPE Registration Office at 310-243-3741 (Option 1).

PIX 351 | Supply Chain Fundamentals (3 Ext. Units)

Supply chain management covers the flow of materials from the supplier to the manufacturer through a structured system, which includes planning, forecasting, purchasing, manufacturing, procuring, and storing of materials. This course introduces students to all aspects of the supply chain.

Course Prerequisite: PIX 351 Supply Chain Fundamentals
Supply Chain Operations examines the techniques for scheduling and controlling the manufacturing process. Process activities studied include prioritizing work processes, executing production orders and reporting results. Techniques and tools for assessing process performance and recognizing opportunities for improvement are demonstrated.

Internal and external risk assessment applies to companies, both product and service-related. This class examines the application of risk management tools and techniques for identifying, evaluating, and managing risk related to product and service operations processes.

Negotiation is a formal process where people engage in activities to create something new or resolve problems. The skills and techniques required for this process to be effective for both parties are the focus of this class.
