Simulated exercises emphasize risk management and contract administration in active construction settings. By applying legal principles to realistic examples, students learn to prevent and resolve jobsite conflicts effectively.
1.8 CEUs
Prerequisite Courses (Recommended): CMX 903Plan Reading, CMX 902Estimating
Students gain applied experience in preparing bids and developing construction schedules. Hands-on projects include building logic-based timelines and mock bid submissions. The course focuses on critical path methods, sequencing, and time-cost coordination using actual project case studies. By the end, students can manage project timeframes and resources using practical scheduling tools.
(Students must complete this class before taking CMX 920 Field Project Management.)
2.4 CEUs
This course emphasizes applied safety management through realistic construction case studies. Students learn how to prepare a safety plan and understand crisisresponse proceduresaligned with OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards.
