CSUDH offers three Sessions:
Each session offers a variety of courses, allowing students to choose the schedule that best fits their summer plans.
May Intersession is a short, accelerated session offered in the timeframe after Spring commencement and before Summer Sessions begin. Summer Sessions run from late May through mid-August and offer three session options: two 6-week sessions (Session I and Session II) and one 12-week Regular Session.
Check whether the course in which you are interested fulfills a requirement:
Online Summer Sessions courses may be offered in different formats. Some are held live online (synchronous) and require virtual attendance at scheduled days and times. Others are asynchronous, allowing students to complete coursework on their own schedule while meeting assignment deadlines.
If an online course lists specific meeting days and times in the class schedule, students are expected to attend live online sessions.
Please review the course details carefully before enrolling to confirm the format and attendance requirements.
Unfortunately, incoming freshmen are not eligible to enroll in Summer Session courses prior to beginning their first term at CSUDH. However, CSUDH does offer a First-Year Experience program designed specifically for new students.
