We prepare students to address mental, emotional, and social well-being and center the need for equity-focused, culturally responsive services.

Our Mission

Toros Heal Los Angeles (THLA) is a network of five behavioral health degree programs that address the severe behavioral health workforce shortage for children and youth by expanding and diversifying the pipeline of mental and behavioral health professionals, including a new paraprofessional entry route. It strengthens job pathways in local communities and builds a community-rooted workforce trained in culturally responsive care, enabling graduates to pursue successful careers with less debt, higher retention, and strong readiness to serve South LA and across the Los Angeles region.

The Toros Heal L.A. (THLA) Scholarship

The Toros Heal Los Angeles (THLA) Scholarship reduces financial barriers for CSUDH students pursuing careers in behavioral health and supports the growing need for behavioral health professionals serving children, youth, and families in communities across Los Angeles County.

The THLA Scholarship is offered to both incoming and current CSUDH students enrolled in one of our five behavioral health degree programs.听
