Confidential Support

Confidential support offers a private place to talk, ask questions, and explore options. Reaching out does not require making a report or taking any particular action.

Confidential resources can provide support, information, and help thinking through what might feel useful. Each resource can also explain the limits of confidentiality before personal information is shared.

CAPE Confidential Support

The Center for Advocacy, Prevention & Empowerment (CAPE) provides free, confidential support for CSUDH students, staff, and faculty impacted by sexual assault, relationship abuse, stalking, or other interpersonal harm.

Support may include:

  • A private space to talk
  • Emotional support
  • Safety planning
  • Help with academic concerns
  • Information about medical care and reporting options
  • Help connecting with campus or community resources
  • Accompaniment to medical, Title IX, or law enforcement processes, if requested

There is no need to know exactly what kind of help is needed before contacting CAPE. Information and options can be explored at a comfortable pace.
