CSUDH has several financial assistance options available for students completing their MSQA degree.
Note: As a distance learning student through the online master's program, you will not be eligible for federal or state grants.
The U.S. Department of Education offers low-interest loans to eligible students to help cover the cost of higher education. Eligible students must be admitted, in good academic standing, and enrolled at least half-time (6 units) in a program leading to a degree, teaching credential, or approved certificate.
If you are eligible for a Federal Student Loan, as a graduate student, you can only qualify for an Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan, so you are responsible for all the interest that accrues on your loan. The CSUDH Quality Assurance department has scholarships available for MSQA courses, noncredit professional development courses, and the ASQ World Quality Conference.
This Fall 2025, the CSUDH Quality Assurance Program has scholarship opportunities available to all QA students for the following Spring 2026 classes: QAS classes beginning in January, as well as NBQA non-credit quality micro courses.
The non-credit classes provide Quality Assurance students with an opportunity to advance their knowledge of contemporary quality concepts as supplemental learning to the QA required classes. Many topics studied in these special sessions non-credit classes contain contemporary developments in Quality, not yet been published in textbooks.
This scholarship award will pay class tuition only. Additional textbooks and any other requirements for course materials are the student’s responsibility.

The Robert R. Sprague Foundation Scholarship for STEM Majors is awarded to students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) related fields.

The Measurement Science Conference (MSC) has an established fund to grant scholarships of up to $2,500 to students in an Engineering, Science, or Quality Assurance degree program. The scholarship prize also includes admission to the 2026 Measurement Science Conference exhibit hall, the MSC luncheon, and any technical programs offered during the February 2-5, 2026 Measurement Science Training Symposium. Attendance at the conference provides a valuable opportunity for students to learn about and experience being in a professional environment and to begin forming their professional network. The scholarship program places emphasis on experience or accomplishments related to the application or advancement of measurement science and technology. A MSC sub-committee evaluates all applications and provides a list of recommended finalists to the MSC Board of Directors. The Board, based on the sub-committee recommendations, evaluates and selects from the recommended recipients list for the scholarship awards.
IMPORTANT NOTE:Please be thorough in answering all sections of the application and their subsections as completely as possible. Remember that you are providing information to convince our committee that you should receive this scholarship from among the applicants this year. Scoring will include: GPA, Employment, Measurement Science or Quality Assurance experience, Goals, Awards, Achievements, and Personal statement/need.
